A Moment of Silence

Last summer (2006) the 50 millionth blog appeared and the blogosphere continues to double in size every six months.  175,000 new blogs are created daily - about two each second and the 50 million blogs out here produce 1.6 million new posts every day - more than 50 appeared since you started reading this paragraph.  That’s a lot of “noise.”

I contribute to that noise every week.  Not this week.  I think I’ll contribute something better to your life this week: a moment of silence.  You came here planning to spend 5 minutes reading—why not take five minutes of silence instead? It might do us all good.

And if you have some silence to contribute to others, post it here.
