“Sitting at the Gates” – A narrative sermon from 2 Samuel 15:1-6.  This sermon follows the form of Attention, Need, Satisfaction, Visualization, and Action, a format that is often used in motivational speeches and commercials.  Hey, if it works for TV, why not try it from the pulpit!  This is an easy form to follow for those who are just beginning to delve into narrative sermons.

Amanda Hontz Drury is a senior at Princeton Theological Seminary where she is earning her Masters of Divinity.  She hopes to graduate from seminary in 2005 and pastor in a local church.  Born and raised in Holland, Michigan, she has been married to John Drury for the past two years and greatly enjoys the Mclaughlin-style family she has married into.
